PORT JEFF, NY – I hope everyone is doing well. Now that we got that out of the way, I’ve got some things we need to discuss: NFL Preseason, MLB Field of Dreams.
NFL Preseason
It’s finally here. We have football back on our screens. As always, reactions to the games vary; some teams look ready to soar, while others appear to struggle right out of the gate.
Tonight brings some intriguing storylines, including the Raiders debuting Fernando Mendoza and teams like the Chargers and Texans aiming to return to the postseason after last year’s campaigns.
The Giants will play their first game on Saturday at 1 o’clock against the Vikings. I’m especially looking forward to seeing the new offense in Jaxson Dart’s second year. Even though it’s preseason, the excitement in the air is undeniable, and I can’t wait to watch football again.
MLB Field of Dreams
The MLB Field of Dreams game featured the Phillies and Twins. The Phillies got off to a fast start with Kyle Schwarber hitting a home run off Taj Bradley in the first inning, and Schwarber followed it up with another blast into the cornfield. Watching the Phillies succeed is always annoying. However, whether the game is on TV or streaming, The Field of Dreams setting makes the experience pretty magical. Hopefully, one day our Mets will have the chance to participate in the Iowa MLB Field of Dreams game, which is one of the coolest initiatives MLB has introduced recently.
