PORT JEFF, NY – Happy Friday everyone! Guess what? We’re gonna talk some sports. Specically: Johnnies’ Roster Update, Mets Face “The Miz.”
Johnnies’ Roster Update:
Last week, we discussed how Rick Pitino could strengthen the current lineup. Just a few days later, Pitino added transfer Keyshawn Hall from Auburn. If the NCAA clears him to apply for a fifth year of eligibility, Hall could have a significant impact on St. John’s frontcourt. Much attention has been given to the NCAA’s decisions regarding eligibility. For now, we’ll have to wait and see, but if Hall and others aren’t cleared this season, it could pose serious challenges not only for St. John’s but also for other key Big East programs, including Providence and Georgetown.
Mets Face “The Miz”
The Amazins went up against Jacob Misiorowski – aka “The Miz” – and as expected this season, struggled early. They failed to register a hit until the fifth inning. Sean Menea took the mound against them, but despite some solid efforts, he was no match for the Brewers offense. While the game didn’t go the Mets’ way, there were some promising moments from younger players showing potential for the rest of the season.

The good news for fans is that college football returns on Saturday, giving us plenty of exciting matchups to watch, and shortly after, the NFL season kicks off, providing even more weekly action to look forward to. Between baseball, college football, and the NFL, sports enthusiasts have a busy and thrilling few months ahead.
