Yankees Welcome Max Fried and Add Cody Bellinger

SPANISH HARLEM – The New York Yankees introduced Max Fried to the media yesterday and he certainly said the right things about wearing pinstripes. This signing has the makings of an elite staff, because when you lose production, you air on the side of pitching to make up for the lack of hitting that will be there with the departure of Juan Soto.

The Yankees are still hoping to upgrade the lineup before the season starts and the acquisition of Cody Bellinger was a good start. The son of former Yankee Clay Bellinger was traded by the Chicago Cubs on Monday and will slot in either an as first baseman or centerfielder. Rumors are that Brian Cashman has not decided what position he will spend the most time in, but they need someone who can play either position, so depending on what decisions they make moving forward they have options with Bellinger.

Cashman is keeping his options open in free agency, and more dominoes should fall in the coming weeks. Some players that I think you should keep in mind is Alex Bregman, with rumors saying that the Yankees remain interested. Also, don’t be surprised if Anothny Rizzo returns on a one-year deal. Another is Carlos Santana at first, and no AngryWard not the singer. They could also look for another outfielder but I’m hoping this is the year they go all in on Jasson Dominguez.

That’s it for now, please come back tomorrow for more good content from Action Jackson Sternberg
