EL BARIO, DA BRONX – The soon to be Mother-In-Law will touch down soon and I need to be on my A game, so this will be an economic use of our respective time. In-Law 2B doesn’t need to know her daughter is marrying a guy that enjoys writing blogs and forum post to imaginary friends and readers more than spending quality time with her. That said, my Topics Du Jour are: Breeding American Pharaohe, NY Cosmos and NBA Free Agents
American Pharaoh: After American Pharaoh won the Triple Crown a few weeks back, one of the things that crossed my mind was,’That guy is going to put out to stud. The lucky (literally) bastard (literally)! Then I realized that in this brave new world they don’t just leave the poor fella to go at it with numerous fillies. No, no, no. That is some expensive horse fizz and it must be taken care of properly. I then remembered this old episode of Dirty Jobs and how they do it. It is one guy’s job to literally hold an artificial horse vagina, while the stud goes to town on it. Don’t believe me?? Check out this clip.
NY Cosmos: Watching a replay of a match between the new NY Cosmos and NYC FC, I couldn’t help but think that it is shame the Cosmos never became NYC’s second MLS team. They are now somewhere in limbo. waiting to see if the MLS is interested in a third NY team. To make themselves different, they will try and be soccer’s Islanders by having a stadium out on The Island. It will be located next to the racetrack on Belmont. Which is a great location as long as you can bring in your own food and drinks like Belmont. By the way, where has tomorrow’s columnist Cheesy Bruin been?! Was he not suppose to arrange another MTM staff adventure out there??
NBA Free Agents: Just when you thought that the NBA season was over, it’s time for the free agent signing period. That means there will be loads of talk about who goes where. It will feel longer than the NBA playoffs and then when it finally ends, it will be just in time for the start of the season.
