NBA Finals Game 4: Booker vs Middleton & More re MLB All-Star Game

SPANISH HARLEM – Last night’s NBA Finals Game 4 was probably the best game we saw so far in the series. There was so much at stake for each team if they won, with the Phoenix Suns looking to go home with a chance to become champions and Milwaukee hoping to tie up the series. What we found out is the team that it needed more prevailed.

The Bucks won the game 109-103 and Khris Middleton came up big in the final minutes of the 4th quarter. In game 3, Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team to victory but Middleton was the star of this show. He made big shot after big shot when looked it like the Suns would steal this game. Devin Booker was sensational with 38 points going into the 4th quarter but not to long in he picked up his 5th foul and had to sit. That is when you knew the momentum would swing into Milwaukee’s favor and while the game remained close through out, you could see that this was their game to win.

Now we have two teams who accomplished what they needed to do – win their games at home. Expect more of the same as we head to Phoenix for game 5. I see this series going 7 games with each team winning their respective games at home. I guess I’m picking the Suns to win the NBA Championship but don’t bet any money on that because I won’t.

Angry Ward had some great thoughts on the All-Star Game yesterday, so I’ll go in a different direction; the atmosphere during the game. I usually don’t watch the intros but for some reason I wanted to see the pregame emotion in the park. The crowd was certainly buzzing and people seem excited to see the best young stars in the league. It was really great to see, especially considering we didn’t have an All-Star game last year. It felt like a special night for many reasons but the most important one was, at least for one night, things felt normal again.

That’s it for now, come back tomorrow for Different Matt, who has been partying like he won the Stanley Cup since Memorial Day.
