PORT JEFF, NY- Greetings, let’s talk ball!
Mets Bounce Back
The Mets snapped their seven game losing streak with an 11-4 win over the Phillies. Brandon Nimmo and Juan Soto both went deep twice. Both Soto and Nimmo are finally finding their groove in 2025. Over his last 15 games Soto is slashing an insane 358/500/679 and Nimmo isn’t far behind over that stretch, with over an 1000 OPS. It’s scary to think about how impressive this team has been for the first two months of the season with Soto and Nimmo only now hitting their stride. The Mets are now tied with the Phillies for the division lead and are expected to get back both Frankie Montas and Sean Manaea this upcoming week. Both are desperately needed as the Mets starting pitching has fallen off a cliff over the last few weeks.
NBA Finals game 7

I’ll admit it, I didn’t think the #Pacers had much of a chance at winning multiple games this series let alone force a game seven. The Pacers have done an incredible job of making a #Thunder team that looked unbeatable all year long look just that. Despite their dominant win in game six, Indiana will limp into game seven with their star PG Ty Haliburton severely hampered by a calf injury. The Thunder have been one of the most dominant home teams in recent memory going an incredible 43-8 throughout the entire year. If there’s one thing that’s abundantly clear this entire postseason it’s that you can never under any circumstance no matter the lead or how much time left, count out Indiana. I think game seven will be a very close game that ultimately will see the more talented OKC team pull away in the end and win their first title in OKC.
