PORT JEFF, NY – Hello. Stuff the pleasantries, we’ve got sports sh1t to get to:Hot-ish Mets, Jerry Sends Michah Packing.
Mets Hot-ish
After sweeping the Phillies in dominant fashion, the New York Mets have revitalized their season. Last night’s defensive collapse vs the Marlins notwithstanding. For much of the year, the Mets’ offense has been inconsistent, hovering around the middle of the pack. But since August began, the offense has been anything but ordinary. The team’s high-priced lineup is finally firing on all cylinders and looks capable of going toe-to-toe with anyone in baseball. On the pitching side, young ace Nolan McLean has been nothing short of sensational. Currently 3-0 with a 0.89 ERA, McLean has established himself as a true ace at the top of the rotation. As if McLean’s emergence wasn’t enough, the Mets recently called up fellow rookie right-hander Jonah Tong. At just 22-years-old, Tong leads all minor leaguers in strikeouts and is regarded as the best of the Mets’ big three prospects (McLean, Sproat, and Tong). Adding to the excitement, Mark Vientos has found his form, and for the first time this season, it feels like the Mets believe as much as the fans do. With all these pieces coming together, the Amazins might just be the most dangerous team in the National League. Dont’ bring up the Marlins!
Jerry Sends Micah Packing

THIS… is one of the biggest trades the NFL has seen! Just as the season begins, the Dallas Cowboys and Jerry Jones have dealt their disgruntled superstar pass rusher to the Green Bay Packers. The Packers wasted no time, signing Micah Parsons to a 4-year, $188 million dollar extension, making him the highest-paid non-QB in the league. This shocking move comes at a terrible time for the Cowboys, who are set to face the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles next Thursday. For Green Bay, the addition of Parsons positions them as strong contenders in the NFC. This is truly one of the most stunning trades in recent memory.
