Knicks Move On, St. Johns Big Portal Splash, Mets Next Move

PORT JEFF, NY – I hope everyone is doing well, let’s hop into our topics, Knicks move on; St. John’s portal splash, Mets next move.

Knicks Move On

For the first time in my life, the New York Knicks have made the NBA championship. Just a few years ago, saying those words would’ve seemed impossible. What Jalen Brunson and company have done for this team and this city will be remembered fondly forever—it’s been an unbelievable ride so far, and Knicks fans deserve every moment of it. Leon Rose has been an outstanding executive and should be the blueprint for how New York sports teams operate.

St. Johns Big Portal Splash

After an off-season where Rick Pitino operated mostly under the radar, he landed possibly the best remaining player available, Tounde Yessoufou, who withdrew his name from the NBA draft. This move completely changes the outlook for St. John’s next season, with Yessoufou likely to be a front-runner for Big East Player of the Year. He’s a true game changer who could even be a top-five pick in next year’s NBA draft.

Mets’ Next Move

Jackson Sternberg

Unfortunately, we’ve reached the point where we have to talk about them. This team has looked lifeless for about two weeks now, ever since that dramatic comeback against the Yankees when many, myself included, thought the season might turn around. Instead, the Mets have continued to underperform, as they have all year. Aside from Juan Soto and maybe Brooks Raley, this has been one of the least enjoyable Mets teams I can remember watching. So, where do they go from here? With the MLB Trade Deadline looming, especially for teams likely to be heavy sellers, it’s starting to look like the Mets will be among them.
