SPANISH HARLEM – We are back with my notifications alert of all thing’s sports, mainly the things that interest me. So, without further ado, let’s jump into what caught my eye.
Brewers Manager Talking Smack
Pat Murphy was caught on a hot mic after winning the World Series. He was talking to Jake Bauers, a former Yankee and stated something about the them being selfish bastards LOL. Well now he has backed track and I’m very upset because Murphy seems like a no-nonsense guy and should of said… “Yea I said that, no going back now” but instead he made his plea that he wasn’t talking about the 2026 Yankees. Either way, stand on your words and don’t backtrack when you think it makes you look bad. The reason the Brewers won the World Series was because of his personality and if that means dissing the Yankees, so be it.
NFL Injuries
It seems every time I look at my phone, I see another season ending injury or someone on injured reserved. My Eagles on going through a season from hell with regards to said injuries but they aren’t only one. Left and right, players are falling and not getting up (see what I did there?). There are a lot of fanbases suffering and worrying whether their season is over, as for me I will be rooting for the Buffalo Bills to win it all. If Josh Allen avoids the injury bug, this could finally be their year.
Knicks Slow Start
So far, watching Knicks can feel a little disappointing, especially coming off the high that was winning the NBA Championship. Jalen Brunson has look sluggish and/or rusty but considering that he wrist surgery on his shooting hand and was able to train the way he normally does, this should be expected. The more in-game reps he gets, the better he will be.
The defense can be up and down, the 3’s aren’t falling and the ball movement is flat. You see glimpses of what could be but right now they are out of sync. I’m hoping sometime soon they fix their problems and go on a win streak.
