BROOKLYN, NY -Yeah, yeah, yeah. The Super Bowl Big Game is Sunday. Will the Bengals’ Burrow best Stafford’s So-Cal story? I think so. Now that we got that out of the way, let’s talk NBA Trades, briefly. I have a plane to catch and Cam James getting sloshed in Steamboat – and not taking it to the hole today – has yours truly faffing and apoplectic.
James Harden Deal Signals Epic Failure
As fans, we’re not in the locker-room. (Unless, of course, you’re like a Cheesy Bruin or the aforementioned Cam – who take “fan” to “fanatic” daily – and illegally weasel your way into that of the Boston Bruins or St. Louis Cardinals, receptively.) Us fans for the most part, however, aren’t privy to what goes on behind the shower curtains, if you will. We don’t know what kind of team chemistry the Brooklyn Nets really have/had with Harden, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. One thing we can say, though, is that 95% of the time that James Harden represented the Netsies on the hardwood, he played full throttle. Many nights he flirted with triple doubles. This was despite the frequent absences of K.D. and/or Kyrie. Now he’s gone for a player that publicly pouts and was ripped to shreds by fans and press in Philadelphia. Wait, this sounds like Harden! Anyway, the Nets 6’7″Aussie GM Sean Marks gambled on the Big 3 concept in Brooklyn and it backfired. Now he’s gambling again on a guy that has all the tools… but one – he’s a sh1tty shooter. He has shooters in this lineup, though, and does play some decent defense. But boy, oh boy, this could be Carmelo Reincarnated.
Golden State Worriers
Steve Kerr should be fired and Angry Ward’s Warriors fans should be worried. It’s time to dismantle the team. Why? Because they lost to the New York Knicks at home in San Fran Oakland, last night. Moreover, NY GM Leon Rose did absolutely nothing at the Trade Deadline and this morning he looks like a genius! Julius Randle, a subject of trade rumors, had a beast of a night. Cam Reddish finally did something and Fournier played some defense against Klay Thompson! Jesus H. Christ. Who’d a thunk?!
