NEW YORK, NY – The time is now for Major League Baseball to remind the world of who the greatest player in the history of the game was. He was born in Baltimore and left his mark in Boston and the Bronx. George Herman Ruth, who is the real Home Run King and a true humanitarian, needs to be acknowledged to today’s woke world, that’s actually asleep.
The Babe’s number 3 needs to be retired throughout baseball the way Jackie’s number 42 is. Ruth’s impact on the game was different from Robinson’s. The Brooklyn Dodger broke barriers while the Bronx Bomber promoted the sport as far away as Japan.

When I hear the youths of America stating that Shohei Ohtani is the best baseball player in the history of the game, then it’s time for that wuss of a Commissioner, Rob Manfred, to remind them who “The Sultan of Swat” was. With that weak spine of his, Manfred may need President Donald Trump to slap some sense into him, as he did with the Pete Rose situation.
Like Rose’s daughter Fawn Rose did for him, Ruth’s granddaughter Linda Ruth Tosetti, along with her husband Andy Tosetti, are huge advocates for the preservation of the Babe’s legacy. They both keep his spirit alive by handing out photos and telling anecdotes of her grandfather’s life.

August 16th will mark the 77th year of Ruth’s passing. The stats are there, the goodwill tours have been documented, and the NY Yankees need to wake up and finally erect a statue outside of their stadium. Since “The House That Ruth Built” has been demolished after the 2008 season, a statue needs to be structured outside of their home park. Atlanta has done it with Hank Aaron, Pittsburgh with Roberto Clemente, and Cincinnati with Pete Rose, but the team up in da Bronx with its storied history remains asleep.
