PORT JEFF, NY – We’ve been doing this long enough to know each others middle names. So, let’s get to business with: Giants Go With Dart, MLB Postseasons Races, Raleigh Hits 60

Giants Go With Dart

The Giants are going with Jaxson Dart as their starting quarterback after a dismal 0-3 start. The G-Men have struggled offensively, except for one game against arguably the league’s worst defense. This marks the first time under Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll that their handpicked QB will lead the team. The front office can’t afford for Dart to look anything less than a seasoned pro in his debut. My issue with this move is why they signed Russell Wilson if they believed so strongly in Dart. With the Giants likely picking in the top 10 again, there’s little to lose by starting him. Regardless of my reservations, I’m excited to see if the Giants have finally found a long-term solution at QB. Dart’s first start won’t be easy as Big Blue faces the 3-0 Chargers, who boast one of the league’s top defenses.

MLB Postseason Races

As the MLB season winds down, the postseason races are heating up with several close playoff pushes in both leagues. In the NL, the Dodgers and Padres are battling for the NL West, with the Dodgers holding a two-game lead and looking likely to claim another division title, though nothing is ever certain in baseball. Over in the AL, the Cleveland Guardians have pulled off the unthinkable—after being as many as 15 games out of first place, they’ve overtaken the Detroit Tigers in a shocking turn of events. The Tigers have not only lost their division lead but are also slipping in the Wild Card race. Meanwhile, the New York Yankees have staged a remarkable comeback to catch the surging Blue Jays, setting the stage for an exciting final week of the MLB regular season.

Cal Raleigh

The Big Dumper has hit 60 home runs for Angry Wards’ Mariners, making his season with the Seattle Mariners one of the greatest ever. Achieving this while also catching is nearly unheard of. Raleigh capped off the Mariners’ AL West clinching with his 60th homer of the season. This Seattle team has all the tools to go all the way—with elite starting pitching, a strong bullpen, and an offense firing on all cylinders. It wouldn’t be surprising to see the M’s represent the American League.
