PORT JEFF, NY – Greetings, plenty to discuss! Lets get into it: More on Knicks, NFL Blockbusters

More on Knicks

There are no words to describe what we’re witnessing from this team. In both games one and two on the road, the Knicks came back from double digit deficits to defeat the Spurs and win their 13th straight playoff game and head back to the Garden up 2-0. After firing Tom Thibodeau last season, many including myself thought it was an overreaction to an early postseason exit. What we’ve seen from this Mike Brown-coached team is exactly what was missing the last few years, and that’s depth. For the last few years Thibs ran the same six guys into the ground every night and by the second round they were absolutely toast. Guys like Miles McBride, Landry Shamet, and Jose Alvarado have been extremely crucial to this team’s success, all of them having hit huge shots throughout this entire postseason. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but the New York Knicks are just two wins away from an NBA title.

Garrett to the Rams

WOW. Absolutely nobody saw this one coming. I think this is a bit of an interesting move considering that the Rams gave up Jared Verse, who by no means is anywhere near the caliber of player of Myles Garrett. However, he might be the best young defensive player in the NFL and is still on his rookie contract. From the Browns’ perspective, they weren’t winning anything with Garrett, so getting a first-round pick and a star defensive player is a good haul. This is it for the Rams. Matthew Stafford is likely done after this year and they’re all in on winning another Super Bowl. Right now, they’re the big favorites to do so.

Patriots get AJ Brown

It became official this past week, but this trade had been expected to happen for months. A.J. Brown had long been disgruntled with the Eagles, and I’m actually surprised the Eagles were able to get a number one pick for him given how little leverage they had. Another excellent move by Eagles GM Howie Roseman. I like this move for the Patriots as well. The one big missing piece for Drake Mayeand that offense was a dominant number one receiver, and if Mike Vrabel is able to keep Brown happy, he should have a monster year on his new team.
