“Talk about a rough performance. The Giants were beaten like they stole something by the Tampa Bay Buccanneers.” -Junoir Blaber
NIAGARA FALLS, NY – Stealing a page from twins Jackson and Jacob Sternberg, let’s skip the pleasantries and get to these recurring topics: Knicks Update, Rangers Update, NFL NY Recap, NY Is Red?!
Knicks Update
The Knicks are in the middle of their yearly west coast road swing. They started the trip on Wednesday against Phoenix, who they easily dispatched. Unfortunately their next game on Saturday saw them easily dispatched in a similar manner. They take on the 2023 Champion Nuggets followed by the 2024 runners-up the Nuggets. They still will have a NBA Cup game in Charlotte before they can finally get home and sleep in their own beds. The Knicks are still healing so this trip isn’t make or break but they need to keep winning to keep pace with the likes of Boston and the unlikely league leading Cavaliers. If they can win 2 of 3 on the road and the NBA Cup game, then it has been a successful trip to me.
Rangers Update
The Rangers are on the finally part of their west coast road trip. They will be playing the St. Louis Blues tonight. They handled the Seattle Kraken and then the Vancouver Canucks before being edged out by Calgary and throttled by the Edmonton Oilers. A win against the Blues will mean they can go back home on a winning note. That is good news, as the Blueshirts have not been smooth this season. You can look at Head Coach Peter Laviolette face and see he is still looking to feel good about this team and he can’t seem to find it. I think the inconsistency of the first two lines is putting pressure on the other two to deliver more and that is a bad recipe.
NFL NY Recap
The Bills and the Spanish Telenovela called the NY Jets had a bye. I guess its good for the Jets to have a weekend without a loss.
Giants
Talk about a rough performance. The Giants were beaten like they stole something by the Tampa Bay Buccanneers. The Giants couldn’t do anything on offense. There were some flashes with Tyrone Tracy but he had a bad fumble that killed the chance to score from the 5 on a trick play. The defense didn’t play bad but the offense wasn’t a threat so they ended up out there far longer. Fun fact was that former giant RB Saquon Barkley had 302 yards from scrimmage and 2 TDs, which was more than the whole Giants offense yesterday.
NY is RED!!!
Thanks for reading and come back tomorrow for Ben Whitney, who will tell you why Sam Darnold will save the Giants.
