Second Half Mets, No Penalty for Hill, More #USWNT

EL BARRIO, EL FALLS – I gotta find more hours in the day. This writing work takes forever and always drags out. Anyway, enough of this chit chat, lets get to the reason why you are all here. Today’s topics will are: Second Half Mets, No Penalty for Hill & More USWNT.

Second Half Mets: Considering how the Mets started the second half of the baseball season, I was gonna say break up the Mets!  Then they went ahead and lost two extra inning games to the Giants. There are no moral victories but the team looks better and seems to be playing better and with more intensity. It is nice to see them have some passion. I don’t know if it means they will make playoffs, matter of fact. I am sure they wont make playoffs but it is nice to have them look like competent team.

Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill: So, no surprise to anyone – the NFL won’t discipline Tyreek Hill. I remember this situation coming up about child abuse allegations a few years back with Adrian Peterson. At the time, I supported Peterson not getting charged cause I thought it was overblown. I was wrong then and that is why I think it is ridiculous that Hill faces no sanction from the league. I mean, the KC District Attorney’s office thought it was worth following up on. However, we already know that as long as your not taking a knee during the national anthem, the NFL is not that perturbed about what their players do.

USWNT: Man! These woman are straight bossing it! Alex Morgan wins Best Female Athlete Award at the ESPY’s and is unapologetic about her antics. Megan Rapinoe is just downright swaggerlicious! The whole unit give me more a feel of the Bash Brothers Oakland As or the ‘86 Cocaine Mets. They don’t want to or need to apologize and they are essentially acting like a confident men’s team without the doucheness. Apparently Secret Deodorant cut them a big check to try and close the pay gap. They are really bringing the pay gap debate into focus and hopefully, if it can be achieved for this wonderful group of women, then it can be achieved for all women – no matter their profession. You go, Ladies.
