Port Jeff NY- Greetings. The Dodgers are treating the Yankees like the Mets are treating the Rockies. But that’s not what we’re talking about today. It’s Knicks, and NBA: Knicks Season Ends, NBA Finals Preview
Knicks Season Ends
The Knicks’ finals dreams ended Saturday night in Indiana in their game 6 loss. I’m honestly not sure how to feel about this season. On the one hand, they knocked off the Celtics and reached the ECF for the first time in over 25 years. On the other it feels as though this series was there for the taking and the Knicks let a final appearance slip through their fingers. We can talk about the struggles of KAT, Mikal Bridges or Brunson’s defense but none of that matters. This series was decided the in game one when the Knicks let a 14-point lead with just over two minutes to play slip away. The game one loss was too much to overcome and gave Indiana a huge mental advantage throughout the entire series. I’m not too sure where the Knicks go from here. It feels somewhat like they’ve reached their ceiling, however they don’t have much financial or draft pick flexibility.
NBA Finals Preview

Just like the NBA dreams of, an Oklahoma City–Indiana finals match-up. The Thunder have been the most dominant team in the NBA for the past two seasons despite their early exit a year ago. The Thunder have bounced back even better leading the league with 68 wins and sporting the leagues top rated defense and having the MVP Shai-Gilgeous-Alexander. The Thunder are massive -650 favorites to win the series, and I agree.
In my opinion the only chance the Pacers have in this series is to go nuclear from behind the arc and shoot nearly 50% from three. Which is something we’ve seen they’re capable of this postseason. Nevertheless that’s unlikely given OKC’s defensive prowess. I think the Thunder win this series with relative ease in five games and finally win their first NBA title.
That’s it for me. Comment below and come back tomorrow for Sports Rain Man, Junoir Blaber.
