More NBA Chaos
NBA chaos continued as the Celtics traded superstar Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for two first-round picks and Paul George. The Celtics appeared to have sold low on Brown, especially considering they were once in contention for Giannis Antetokounmpo or even a possible trade for the second overall pick in the NBA Draft.
This move is puzzling for many reasons. The foremost being why the Celtics would feel comfortable accepting only two first-round picks and an aging Paul George for a team positioned to contend for a championship next year. While it is possible that Brad Stevens has another strategic move planned, it is difficult to envision a scenario in which this current roster can compete in the upper echelon of the Eastern Conference next season.

Who Mets Should Sell
Unfortunately, we’ve reached the point where it’s time to talk about selling. Fresh off yet another series loss, the Mets are officially in sell mode, with no playoff hopes in sight and veterans on expiring contracts. They should look to move bullpen arms like Luke Weaver, Brooks Raley, and AJ Minter to help replenish the farm system. If they were truly serious, they’d even entertain offers for Devin Williams. As is the case almost every year in baseball, bullpen arms are among the hottest commodities, and if the Mets want any shot at future success, this trade deadline could be pivotal for rebuilding their once prized but now depleted farm system.
