PORT JEFF, NY – I hope everyone is well, or at least acting like it. With that out of the way, let’s hop into our topics: MLB Trade Deadline, Summerslam!
MLB Trade Deadline is one of the most exciting times for baseball fans, whether your team is buying or selling, as every move leaves fans eager for more. Plenty of names have been floated by both sides, ranging from Mason Miller of the Padres, Zach Neto of the Angels, and even Francisco Lindor of the Mets. Across town, the Yankees—once again buyers at this year’s deadline—could definitely use a shortstop, perhaps Zach Neto or maybe CJ Abrams from the Nationals. There have even been reports of the Padres talking with the Yankees about Mason Miller, while the Mets and Yankees have discussed Luke Weaver. Brian Cashman will need to make a big splash to push the Yanks over the top.
Summerslam is back this Saturday for another fun summer event! In a two-part extravaganza, night one sees Oba Femi take on Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell. I’m picking Oba here—WWE needs to pull the trigger to make him an established star. On night two, Seth Rollins faces Roman Reigns, and I’m torn. On one hand, it would be a great story for Seth to win the world title. On the other hand, Roman just beat CM Punk, and it feels too soon for him to drop it. Either way, it’s shaping up to be a great show.
