Giants Reach New Low, MLB Hot Stove, Things To Be Thankful For

Giants and Yankees: Great minds stink alike...

HOLBROOK, NYCan it get any worse for the Giants? Is Ohtani coming east?  Are you ready for next Thursday? Let’s see if we have any answers, as per: Giants Reach New Low, MLB Hot Stove, Things To Be Thankful For

Giants Reach New Low

Yes. In response to the aforementioned question… yes it can. It can and has gotten worse for the Jints. It’s one thing to lose. It’s another to get absolutely bullied by the Dallas Cowboys. The Big Blue defense got gashed for over 600 yards in Sunday’s latest  rock-bottom-moment for the G-Men.

On to some REAL football

Trouble brewing in Cincy? Joe Burrow left Thursday’s game with a sprained wrist and the Bengals, are all of a sudden a .500 football team. My preseason pick to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl, the Bungles are in a world of trouble. Further, there is speculation that Burrow was hurt prior, as some are saying he had something on his hand before suiting up.

MLB Hot Stove

Not much has gone on so far in the MLB offseason. Locally, many Mets fans, including myself, are waiting for new President of Baseball Opertaions – David Stearns  – to make a big splash, Yankees GM Brian Cashman has stolen the front page with some unkind comments over  about slugger Giancarlo Stanton. (see Buddy Diaz’s column re that). I’m not sure why Cashman is surprised by Stanton’s injury history – considering he was the one who traded for him!

Things To Be Thankful For

Jackson Sternberg

With Thanksgiving looming, I’ll wrap up today’s column by finishing with some thanks. I would like to thank the great Matt Mccarthy for giving my brother Jacob and me a chance to write on this website. Some things are bigger than sports. A chance to write about them is a privilege.

Thank you all for reading today’s column, and I look forward to discussing the topics at hand – or ANY sports stuff with you, below. And be sure to come back tomorrow for Aristotle “Mugsy” Sakellaridis.

Jackson and his twin brother Jacob are son's of MTM legend, Al Sternberg. Being the youngest of the twins by 10 minutes, Jackson knows the value of time. Look for him and Jacob to collaborate and/or create separately. Family quirk: the twins don Speedos when wake-boarding on Long Island's beaches.
