Grinding Ax Sunday- Free NFL Picks and Nuggets

COLTS NECK, NJ – It’s time for my Free NFL Picks and nuggets. After last week’s disappointing picks, I have decided to predict with my gut feelings rather than my heart. Let’s get started with the New York Jets and their rough start.  I am still not quitting on the potential of Zach Wilson. Like most rookies, he has endured a while lot of hits and interceptions in his first three contests. Much like the other first year quarterbacks, Wilson needs to get rid of the football sooner.

Titans vs Jets-  Zach Wilson has the ability to lead the J-E-T-S to victory. He just needs friends to assist him in mitigating the continued  losing.  Denzel Mims and Jamison Crowder will be on the field to add some depth at wide receiver. Joining ex Titan Cory Davis, Gang Green should be able to creates some offense but it will not be enough to defeat the Titans unless Derrick Henry breaks a leg. Titans 24 Jets 17

LOVE ME SOME GIANTS

The week will just add to the Giants Misery. They face a New Orleans team that is trying to find itself behind the leadership of Jameis Winston . We all know the trials of the Saints signal caller. He has the arm to score quickly, however his propensity for throwing picks may just make this a closer contest than it should be. Danny Dimes Jones has the ability to match up pick for pick with Winston and most likely will win that dubious honor against a solid Saints defense. Look for 25-30 touches for Alvin Kamara in this one. Saints 32- Giants 17

Angry Ward will surely be checking in on this contest as his Minnesota Vikings host Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns. While Kurt Cousins to Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen is a lethal weapon, Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt are the key to victory for the Brownies. If the Browns give their backs 35 carries, this will be a done deal. Dalvin Cook is hobbled but will be enough of a decoy to enable Cousins to air it out and get the win.Vikings 24- Browns 21

Only one will be smiling tonight

The game of the week is far from an epic match-up. One team is at the top of the league while the other is a remnant of its glory years.  The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady docked their championship boat in Boston Harbor.  Rookie Mac Jones will be a success in New England but not this week. Brady will torch  his former team by keeping his foot on the scoring pedal. Look for a long evening at Gillette StadiumBill Belichick will no doubt have a handsome bounty on his former QB but Brady will prevail. Tampa Bay- 35- New England – 16

Kansas City will scalp the Philadelphia Eagles and Jalen “Still” Hurts. Patrick Mahomes will be looking for Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce early and often. The Chiefs will dominate this one from start to finish. Chiefs 42 Eagles 24
