BRONX, NY – Baby, it’s cold outside… at least here in the Northeast. And by the end of the week we should be getting some snow. It would be nice to see at least one more NFL Playoffs snow game before the SB, but that would have to be in Denver. Speaking of the upcoming AFC and NFC Championship games…
New England Patriots at Denver Broncos. The Patriots are winning this game. I don’t really base this on Bo Nix being out as much as I do on my extreme distaste for Broncos Head Douche Sean Payton. I do not like this guy, at all. Smug, talks down to people, and thinks he’s God’s gift to coaching, even though the only Super Bowl he won was when his team basically targeted players in an attempt to injure them. He was later suspended for an entire season because of it. If you know anything about the NFL, and how it disciplines its so-called “geniuses,” you gotta know that even the league thought he was a Class A Jerk. So, yeah, he deserves to lose. On the other hand, I really like Mike Vrabel. He was the guy who took over for hapless Head Coach Mike Mularkey in Tennessee and said, “Hey, why don’t we try to hand the ball to this Derrick Henry guy a little more often.” He did pretty well for the Titans, and it wasn’t his fault they traded AJ Brown, but he got fired anyway, and the Patriots were smart enough to snap him up. I’m pulling for him. Pats win this one—hopefully in the snow—in Denver.
Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks. Last Sunday I sent friends a text predicting that the Rams’ large-ish kicker, Harrison Mevis, was built for the cold Chicago weather and would win the game. I sent this text very early in the game. I was right. And I’m going to be right again when I tell you that the Rams are going to beat the Seahawks this week. Sean McVay is too close to his second Super Bowl ring to not figure out a way to upset Sam Darnold and score enough points on Seattle’s stout D to pull out a win. It’s happening. Honestly, I’m always gonna take a shot on a team (and some players) that has been there/done that, than one that hasn’t. Book it!
So, there you have it, the Super Bowl this year will be a third rematch of the Patriots and Rams. This time, the Rams are gonna come out on top.
That’s all for me today. Tune in tomorrow for Buddy Diaz, who never uses AI.
